London, Collins Crime Club, 1935.  The first of 16 Nigel Strangeways novels by Nicholas Blake, pen name of Cecil Day-Lewis, future poet laureate of England and future father of the noted actor Daniel Day-Lewis.  At a posh private school, the headmaster's obnoxious son is found strangled and Strangeways is called in on the case.  Some discoloration to reddish orange boards, spine faded. Endpapers browned, slight wear to extremities with a small tear to lower spine end.  $125.00.
