An old man, invisible to the world because he’s old, is on an assignment that, in its modest way, will help save the world. The man’s code name is Condor and he’s been doing this for the CIA for a long time.
He’s had close calls, dating back to when he first joined the agency and, by pure happenstance, was out of the secret office when it was invaded and everyone else was killed by a terrorist group.
James Grady wrote of that episode and its consequences in his first novel, the iconic Six Days of the Condor, later filmed as Three Days of the Condor, starring Robert Redford and Faye Dunaway.
The enigmatic Condor had numerous other adventures, some recorded as short stories and novels by Grady, some merely referred to in other cases.
The history of this character, though shrouded in mystery and subterfuge, largely alluded to without being overly specific, is told for the first time in this volume.
