Detective Inspector Damen Brook investigates a series of deaths in Derbyshire.  A man's body is found in the River Derwent, presumed drowned until the autopsy reveals he has no lungs. Another corpse is dredged up in Shardlow Gravel Pit, the victim's internatl organs removed, except for his heart.
