Dickson, Carter - The Peacock Feather Murders

New York, Grosset & Dunlap, 1937. Second G & D printing. The house had been surrounded by Scotland Yard after they had received an audacious letter stating the time and the place of an upcoming murder.  On the floor in the locked attic room lay the body of Vance Keating with two bullets in him. Another apparently impossible crime for Henry Merrivale to solve!  One corner slightly bumped.  Previous owner's name plus the date of January 15, 1940 to front pastedown. DJ shows wear and chipping to folds and spine ends. $30.00.
