Bruce, Leo - Neck and Neck

Chicago, Academy Chicago, 1980.  The next to last Sgt. Beef mystery by author Bruce, pen name of Rupert Croft-Cooke, originally published 1951. Sergeant Beef's toffee-nosed biographer, Lionel Townsend, is himself a suspect when his auntie is found murdered.  Meanwhile an unscrupulous publisher is found hanged, an apparent suicide, but Beef suspects foul play and a connection to the death of Auntie.  Corners slightly bumped, DJ spine faded with slight wear to extremities.  $17.50.
